Having tried unsuccessfully to visit the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) last Sunday due to the Rock n Roll Marathon we decided to give it another try. This time there was no problem.
This museum, like some other art Museums in mid-sized cities offers you a tour through the history of art. There is, for example, 1 Sargent, 1 Copley, 2 Monets, 3 Picassos, 1 room of Native America art and 1 of African art etc. It is a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday or any other afternoon. The exhibit spaces on the second and third floors are arranged to attractively showcase the individual pieces and entire collections. We especially noticed the choices of wall colors and lighting.

Back to our comfortable rooms for a bit and then out to dinner at the Praline Connection on Frenchmen street.. Good food –really nice staff who looked terrific in their black pants, white shirts, colorful ties and jaunty black hats.
